A One-Stop Guide to DGCA CPL Conversion
Before you go abroad for training, there are key steps to save time and possibly money when converting your license back in India:
- Class 2 Medical: Get your DGCA file number (unique ID for all DGCA processes). Optional: Initial Class 1 medical. Expect 3 months for assessment.
- Computer Number: Register on PARIKSHA. Accuracy is key; small mistakes lead to rejection.
- eGCA Registration: All DGCA applications and records are held online. Ensure documents are ready for submission.
If you are training abroad, you can still enroll in eGCA and get the computer number. Ensure physical documents reach DGCA within days. Family/friends in India may assist.
*EDIT: OCT 2024* DGCA now allows self-attestation of documents; no need for gazetted officer certification. Reference: FILE NO. DGCA-19012/47/2019-CEO-DGCA, 14/10/2024.
